The FAARŪ Integration Toolkit (FIT) allows bidirectional communication between FAAR and other applications. With FIT, you can easily add a spatial data component to existing software such as work and outage management, digger's hotline and field inspections. FIT offers a simple and powerful toolkit for integrating applications through an easy-to-use, map-based interface, resulting in a system that is more powerful, flexible and productive than multiple, disconnected applications.

A unique component of FIT is the ability to spatially represent data, from external sources, as customized symbols in FAAR's graphic display. This is accomplished through the use of Dynamic Classes. Dynamic Classes are ideal for displaying information that changes regularly, either in position, as in the case of service vehicle location, or in state, such as an electric switch that changes from open to closed.
