La Crosse, WI - October 3, 2006 — NMT Corporation announced today that Michigan Gas Utilities Corporation (MGUC) and Minnesota Energy Resources Corporation (MERC) will provide NMT’s FAAR (Field Access to Automated Records) workforce automation software to network users in both organizations. Both companies will expand use of the software to field personnel later this year. The FAAR software is being provided as part of an unlimited-use license purchased by MGUC and MERC parent company Wisconsin Public Service Corporation.

“Implementing FAAR at MGUC and MERC was a business decision based on the product’s history of success at Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPSC) and Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO),” said Dave Perron, MERC Operations Manager, Rosemount, MN.

FAAR replaces paper maps in the field at both organizations and provides an easy-to-use, fast and powerful interface for locating and analyzing map-based data and related information. FAAR can also be configured to provide single point access to multiple data sources, such as CAD, CIS and document management, and can be integrated directly with applications like work and outage management.

“FAAR has been instrumental in consistently meeting our goals of increasing productivity, safety and customer service,” said Lynn Allen, Supervisor of GIS Services at WPS. “We are confident that Michigan Gas Utilities Corporation and Minnesota Energy Resources Corporation will realize the same benefits.”

“The decision to make an investment in large-scale, digital map distribution and data access demonstrates the importance that workforce automation plays in today’s competitive market,” said Joe Linzmeyer, NMT’s Director of GIS Software Sales.
